The climb to the summit takes about 6–7 hours and is a true test of endurance and determination. Slowly but steadily, you’ll make your way up steep switchbacks toward Stella Point (5,756m) — arriving just in time to witness a breathtaking New Year’s sunrise over the vast African plains.

From Stella Point, it’s a final push along the crater rim to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) — the highest point in Africa. Standing at the summit on January 1st, you’ll be rewarded with an indescribable sense of achievement, unmatched views, and the unforgettable experience of ringing in the New Year on top of the world.
