This 9-day safari adventure takes you through two of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations — Maasai Mara in Kenya and Serengeti in Tanzania. Known for their extraordinary wildlife populations and stunning landscapes, these two regions promise thrilling safaris, diverse ecosystems, and incredible opportunities to spot the famous “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), alongside rarer species like the serval cat, which is often a highlight for wildlife photographers and enthusiasts.
Welcome to Kenya! Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative. They will assist with your transfer to your hotel, where you can check in, relax, and freshen up after your flight. After some downtime, we’ll have a brief orientation and safari briefing, offering insights into the thrilling adventures that await you in the coming days. The evening is free for you to relax, enjoy a leisurely dinner, and prepare for tomorrow’s journey.
Today, we begin our journey through Kenya’s stunning landscapes. After an early breakfast, we will depart from Nairobi and travel towards Lake Nakuru National Park. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours, with a stop at Lake Nakuru, famous for its abundant wildlife, including rhinos, flamingos, and a variety of bird species. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting game drive through the park, where you’ll encounter both white and black rhinos, as well as various bird species. After a day filled with exploration, we continue our journey towards the Maasai Mara region.
After breakfast, we will embark on a scenic drive towards Maasai Mara National Reserve.
The journey takes about 5 hours, but it will be well worth it as you arrive at one of Africa’s
premier safari destinations.
Once checked into your lodge or camp, take some time to relax before venturing out for an
exciting evening game drive. Maasai Mara is renowned for its dramatic landscapes, large
populations of big cats, elephants, and its extraordinary wildlife diversity. If your trip
coincides with the annual wildebeest migration, you may witness this incredible spectacle.
Overnight: Maasai Mara
Today is dedicated to immersing yourself fully in the wildlife-rich Maasai Mara. After
breakfast, enjoy two game drives across the vast plains of the reserve. The Mara is known for
its Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), so you’re in for an unforgettable
experience.
In addition to the wildlife encounters, we will arrange a visit to a traditional Maasai village,
where you’ll interact with the Maasai people and learn about their fascinating culture and
customs.
Overnight: Maasai Mara
This morning, after breakfast, we will drive towards the Isibania Border for our crossing
into Tanzania. After completing border formalities, we will continue on to Serengeti
National Park, one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world, renowned for its vast
plains and incredible biodiversity.
After checking in at your lodge or camp, get ready for an exciting evening game drive.
Serengeti is home to a stunning variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, so
your game drive is sure to offer thrilling wildlife encounters.
Overnight: Serengeti
Enjoy a full day of exploration in the Serengeti. With its endless plains, the Serengeti offers an incredible variety of wildlife. During your morning and afternoon game drives, you’ll have the chance to observe predator-prey interactions, including lion prides, cheetah hunts, and herds of elephants. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Seronera River Valley, which is a hotspot for wildlife. Lunch will be a picnic in the bush, allowing you to absorb the beauty and serenity of the African landscape.
Overnight: Serengeti
After a hearty breakfast, we will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive
takes approximately 3-4 hours through the beautiful Tanzanian countryside, with scenic
views of rolling hills and vast landscapes.
This day marks the farewell to continental Africa, but before heading off for a relaxing stay
on the magnificent Spice Island, we have one more stop: Serval Wildlife Africa. Here, you
will have the opportunity to observe animals up close, not only from a vehicle but also on
foot.
This is the day to either head home or continue your adventure. You can depart Tanzania, or if you’d like, you can travel to Zanzibar for a relaxing beach holiday or explore another destination of your choice.
