Why is a group hike cheaper than a private climb?

A group hike is less expensive because the costs, like paying the crew and buying food, are shared among everyone in the group. This makes it a more affordable way to climb Kilimanjaro.

For private climbs, the price per person gets cheaper if more people join. For example, if you have a private group of 3 or more, the price per person can be close to the price of a group climb.

This pricing makes private climbs a good choice for larger groups, letting more people enjoy Kilimanjaro at a fair price.

What to Expect in Our Kilimanjaro Group Climbs

  • Affordable Packages: Kilimanjaro Joining Groups make it cheaper to climb by sharing costs among the group.
  • Pre-Planned Itineraries: We take care of everything for you, including meals, tents, permits, and places to stay.
  • Inclusive Atmosphere: Our groups include people from different countries, ages, and backgrounds. This mix makes the climb more interesting and enjoyable.

Medical check-ups on our trips

Both private and group climb participants get daily medical check-ups. These check-ups are required and help our guides track each climber’s progress in adjusting to the altitude. The check-ups follow the same rules for both types of climbs. If a climber isn’t adjusting well, our guides can give oxygen and slow down the pace to help.

Can I join a group hike if I don't have proper mountain gear?

Yes, you can join a group hike even if you don’t have your own mountain gear. We know that many people hiking Kilimanjaro are beginners and don’t have special equipment. That’s why Wild Rhythm Adventures has a gear rental shop for climbers. You can rent everything you need for the hike, like sleeping bags, boots, and warm jackets.

Our shop is the biggest in the Kilimanjaro area, with gear in all sizes. We keep it stocked with new, high-quality items. We get our gear from trusted brands like Red Fox, Columbia, and Black Diamond, which are known for being strong and reliable in the mountains. You can also rent trekking poles. We have a detailed Kilimanjaro packing list for you to check.

You don’t have to worry about the cleanliness of the gear. After each trip, we clean and dry everything in our special laundry service, so the gear you rent will be clean and in great condition, helping you enjoy your hike and reach the summit!
