The afternoon game drive takes you along the Tarangire River, where elephants, lions, and wild dogs gather in large numbers. The park's diverse habitats range from swampy marshes to open grasslands, supporting an incredible array of birdlife including kori bustards and yellow-collared lovebirds. Watch elephants bathing in the river and lions lounging in the shade of baobab trees. After a bush breakfast, transfer south to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact gem set beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The afternoon game drive reveals a park of surprising diversity from groundwater forests to open grasslands and a soda lake teeming with flamingos and pelicans. Enjoy a walking safari along the lake shore with an armed ranger, spotting giraffes, impalas, and bushbuck in the forested areas. After brunch, embark on a spectacular transfer through the Ngorongoro Highlands, passing Maasai bomas and rolling green hills. The drive takes you to the crater rim and then down onto the vast Serengeti plains, arriving in time for your first afternoon game drive. Ikona Wildlife Management Area Game Drive

Today's game drive takes you to the Ikona Wildlife Management Area, a community-managed conservation area that offers excellent wildlife viewing with far fewer crowds than the main Serengeti. The area is home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of wildebeest and zebra. The morning drive explores the open grasslands, where cheetahs use termite mounds as vantage points to scan for prey. After a bush lunch, the afternoon drive heads towards the Grumeti River, where enormous crocodiles bask on the banks and hippos wallow in the deep pools. The WMA model ensures that local Maasai communities benefit directly from tourism, making your visit contribute to conservation and community development. Return to camp for dinner under the stars.
