5 Days Grumeti Predator Safari

Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Afternoon game drive in this compact but diverse park. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions — one of the few places in Africa where lions climb trees to escape the heat and insects. The alkaline lake attracts thousands of flamingos, creating a stunning pink spectacle along the shoreline. Your guide will position you at the best vantage points based on herd movements. The crossing can happen at any moment — when it does, the chaos and drama unfold before your eyes. The Grumeti River is home to some of the largest crocodiles in Africa, and the crossings here are intense and often bloody. This is nature at its most unforgiving. Visit multiple crossing points throughout the day as different sections of the herd attempt their crossing.

Morning predator tracking — the Grumeti area is renowned for its high concentration of lions and leopards. The western corridor offers some of the best predator viewing in the Serengeti, with resident lion prides that have learned to hunt the migration herds.
