Day 1

Arusha to Kogatende — Northern Serengeti

Early morning light-aircraft flight from Arusha airstrip to Kogatende in the Northern Serengeti. The 45-minute flight offers spectacular aerial views of the Serengeti plains and migration herds below. On arrival, meet your professional safari guide and transfer to your riverside camp. After lunch and a briefing, head out for your first afternoon game drive along the Mara River corridor. Scan the riverbanks for crocodiles and watch the herds gathering on the southern bank, building courage to cross. Return to camp as the sun sets over the Serengeti.

Day 2

Full Day — Mara River Crossings

Depart camp at first light and drive to the Mara River crossing points. Your guide will position you at the best vantage points to witness the dramatic crossings. Pack a bush lunch to eat by the river as you wait — the crossing can happen at any moment. When it does, watch in awe as thousands of wildebeest plunge into the crocodile-filled river, creating a chaotic yet magnificent spectacle. Some make it across, others do not — this is nature at its rawest. Visit multiple crossing points throughout the day as different sections of the herd attempt their crossing. Return to camp at sunset, emotionally exhausted but transformed by what you have witnessed.

Day 3

Kogatende to Arusha

On arrival, transfer to your hotel or onward destination.
