Your guide will take you to prime viewing areas along the Tarangire River. Begin your first game drive in the central Seronera area, famous for its big cat populations. Search for lions lounging on kopjes, leopards in sausage trees, and cheetahs on the open plains. Arrive at the luxurious Meliá Serengeti Lodge, where your suite offers stunning views of the endless plains.

Today is dedicated to witnessing the Great Migration and exploring the Serengeti's diverse ecosystems. Rise before dawn for an early morning game drive when predators are most active. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then head out again to search for the migration herds. Depending on the season, you may witness river crossings, calving, or the great trek across the plains. Your expert guide will position you at the best vantage points for wildlife viewing. Enjoy a bush lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game drive as the sun sets over the Serengeti.

After an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at the Olduvai Gorge, where the Leakeys discovered some of the oldest human fossils, and visit the small museum. Continue to the crater rim, where you'll check into the legendary Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, built into the crater rim with unmatched views. In the afternoon, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater floor is home to over 25,000 animals including the rare black rhino.

Rise early for a final descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. The morning light offers excellent photography opportunities as animals are active in the cool air. Spend the morning searching for any species you may have missed, including the elusive black rhino and endangered wild dogs. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site before ascending the crater rim. Begin the scenic drive back to Arusha, arriving in time for last-minute shopping before transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
