Upon arrival at Marangu Gate (1,870 meters), you will complete park registration formalities while your trekking team prepares the equipment. After a final briefing and introductions to your guides and porters, your Kilimanjaro climbing adventure officially begins. The hike starts through a beautiful tropical rainforest filled with tall trees, moss-covered trunks, and unique wildlife. You may spot blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, and a variety of bird species along the trail. The path is well-defined and gradually ascends, making this first trekking day comfortable and enjoyable.
